We all promise to follow the rules we made together.

We will:

1. Stop, look and listen when Leaders raise their hand

2. Listen to Leaders and each other

 3. Keep our hands and feet to ourselves

 4. Be kind and look after each other

5. Be friendly and share

 6. Be helpful and take care of things and places

 7. Play games properly and fairly

8. Celebrate our achievements

We will ask all new Beavers Scouts and Leaders, and visitors, to follow our rules.

We will check that we are still happy with our rules every term..

Parents and Leaders

All our Leaders are volunteers. We manage the Beaver Colony, plan and deliver activities, support your young people in their personal development, and work to keep Scouting safe and inclusive. We have all completed a Personal Enquiry, with Disclosure Check (PVG) and have access to training.

We need you to work in partnership with us to ensure your young person has a safe and fun Scouting experience. An important part of this is having clear and open channels of communication between parents/carers and Leaders.

Parents will:

  • provide accurate and up-to-date information, particularly with regards to emergency contact details.
  • tell us about your young person’s additional support needs and relevant health information.
  • bring your young person to Beavers at 1800 and collect your young person from Beavers at 1900.
  • bring your young person into the school hall and speak to a leader to sign your young person into each Beaver meeting.
  • collect your young person from the school hall and speak to a Leader to sign your young person out pf each Beaver meeting.
